UBIQUE: ISSUE 16

Lockdown has been extended… again…

It is now Week Six of Term 3, and our 16th Issue is out… and yet we are more depressed than ever. The news of lockdown being extended to 2 more weeks has hit us all close to home… after all, we’ve been here before. However, it is something that is necessary for us to do beat this stubborn virus, although it is no bit enjoyable or fun at all. UBIQUE only hopes that you are hanging in there, and we hope that we can make light of our situation by providing you some fun and interesting articles for your week. Remember to look on the bright side and take this as an opportunity to have some time off, no matter how hard that may be.

To spice up your week, UBIQUE has:

  • Elliot Broome teaching you all how to make a kite during a lockdown, but with a little bit of a fictitious twist…

  • Tongxin and Tongyin Ye here to bring you an article that shows a peak into some of the the many different lunches that the students of Uni-High have been eating to keep themselves fed.

  • Ronan Butt Merton’s public letter directed to the school’s principal, Ciar Foster, in the hopes that he may be able to attain additional funding for the schools Film Club… he’s demanding a whopping 500 million dollars?

  • Belen Strickland Bui with her argument for why we should all be boycotting fast fashion, and providing some compelling evidence to support her claims.

  • Dahli Pestinger goes deep into the history of Kate Moss, famous celebrity and one of the most acclaimed models ever, as well as the history of fashion and fashion photography during the 90s.

  • And last but certainly not least, Mason Johns is back this issue to bring us all another piece of history all about Uni High, which we’re all missing (;D), in an article ‘From The Archives’.
