Our 6th lockdown… what a time to be alive.

A new week in the term calls for a new UBIQUE Issue. As Week 5 comes around the corner, we’re pleased to present you ISSUE 15, the latest instalment in our weekly issues of Term 3. As happy as we are that we are able to provide you guys with another piece of work, we are devastated by the fact that our relaunch, which we had planned to show today, will have to be moved due to the powers of COVID-19 and Victoria’s lockdown. We are also feeling incredibly sorry for the Musical and the brilliant team behind it who has worked so hard to be able to get it going, right through last lockdown, but have also been stumped by Covid restrictions. We are wishing them the best of luck, and as soon as the Musical can be run again, we’ve got a few articles about the Behind-the-Scenes of the Musical that we can finally show you guys. Instead of letting all of that misfortune drag us down, we did our best to put together an impromptu issue for this week, as we wouldn’t want you guys to go a week without reading our amazing articles ;)

Here’s what we have in store for you this week:

  • Our previous art director DK is back to give you all another article of fashion-filled reading, with the much-requested second iteration of “How Much Does Your Outfit Cost?”, which has now been made into a recurring article! Hurray!

  • Elliot Broome and Rory Bochner bring to light even more of the conspiracies and mysteries that continue to plague University High School. Sadly, these two pieces will be concluding our ‘Investigative Journalism’ series. We hope you’ve enjoyed reading them as much as we have enjoyed writing them.

  • Harry Palin, a Year 10 student of Uni High who is a movie fanatic, reviews the 2020 movie ‘Spree’ and gives us his honest thoughts and opinions on the film. We might be seeing more of his movie reviews soon…

  • If you’re bored and hungry at home, why not try making some delicious desserts with an article all about what desserts to make based off your zodiac sign! Fun, interesting, and perhaps a little bit accurate?

  • And to finish off this week’s issue we have Mason John’s brief look into the history of his grandfather and recreational running. This is also the second last instalment of the Anthology Series :( However we’ve still got one to go so, make sure to tune in to next week’s Issue!

One last bit of news - to be completely honest with you guys, it looks like lockdown’s going to last at least 2 weeks at this rate. Unfortunately, that means our big grand reveal of our relaunch will have to be pushed back indefinitely. We will announce the date as soon as we’ve gotten back to school and settled down, and hopefully Covid will let us do that soon. For quicker updates, follow our Instagram @ubiqueuhs as we post daily, and you can also look here for more information about our relaunch. Other than that, have a fantastic week. Don’t let the news of lockdown hit you to hard, and we hope UBIQUE can make your week just a little easier.
Happy reading =)
