From The Archives: Ghosts Of Uni-High Past

Our first archival article comes, fittingly, from the very first edition of Ubique. I think it is an appropriate place to start. Some context to this article: It was in 1946 with postwar optimism that Ubique was first launched. At least 4000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people had served in the war - the highest participation of any population demographic. Despite this, Aboriginal people were not even considered citizens, not allowed to vote, and under the Stolen Generation policies children were lawfully stolen from their families.
