UBIQUE: ISSUE 19

Only 2 more weeks until school holidays… hopefully not in lockdown.
It’s Week 9 of Term 3, which means Issue 19 is here! We can definitely say that we’re excited the school term is finally nearing its close… not as excited about the possibility of spending the holidays at home though. However things are looking up as people are starting to get more vaccines, and since vaccines are now open to 16 year olds and above… GO GET ONE. Please. We want to go outside TT
As good as it is that the holidays are almost here, this also means that UBIQUE will be taking a two week break before publishing at the start of Term 4. Although this is sad, we are looking forward to this short period of time as we do need the rest (we don’t get payed unfortunately :o) and are glad to be recharging so we can work on even more new ideas for UBIQUE. And who knows? Even though the relaunch is postponed, maybe Term 4 will be a term of change for UBIQUE…

You might have seen these names on our website as writes - Miranda Burnett, Rory Bochner and Elliot Broome. But these 3 people also make up UBIQUE’s dedicated team of Art Directors, and they’ve decided to start a new series on UBIQUE called “Artist Profiles” to highlight all the wonderful creatives at Uni High. For this week’s profile, get to know our lovely Elliot Broome, the artist of Issue 18’s cover!
Alex Osborne, an amazing supporter of UBIQUE, has finally taken the leap to join UBIQUE as a writer! Introducing us to the world of musicals, she’s drastically shortened her list of her favourite musicals to tell us about the Top Five musicals you should consider watching.
And to sum up our articles of the week, we’ve got another piece on games?… A particular reader of UBIQUE enjoyed Josh’s article last week… so he decided to write his own and send it to us! Jasper Simionato also has written a list of his tops for you to enjoy - this time all about gaming.
That’s all from us for this Issue 19! With the articles, we are also continuing to publish the Year 9’s magazines from their competitions. So that each magazine has the time and space to be individually enjoyed, we’ve picked out 12 magazines for this week which can be accessed by clicking on the corresponding cover in the gallery below. That said, more magazines will be on the way in the future and once all of them have been published, they will all be made available on one large page so that people don’t have to go individually searching for them. And of course, our articles are linked below for you all to enjoy.
