Shadowboxer is from her debut album, Tidal. Over her extensive career, she has never stuck to one genre, with her roots laying in jazz, show tunes, and inspiration from the 70’s in song writing.

Atlanta Millionaires Club – Faye Webster

Atlanta Millionaires Club

Faye Webster

Atlanta Millionaires Club is currently one of my favourite albums. Faye Webster uses tradition song instrumentation, and then turns it into something else and unique, and utilisers the pedal steel in a lot of her songs, making the sound different to it’s traditional sound. (pedal steel is the funny whining noise)

“Oh there’s this weird guitar that’s bendy, and it could totally be in a country song, but I try to change the way the pedal steel is supposed to sound to make it unique”
