Nicole Tan
Introducing Art Features! We have so many talented artists at Uni High, visual and musical and otherwise, and we want to feature student art in our new section.
Featured first is Nicole Tan from Year 10! She is currently taking Year 11 Visual Communication and recently won the mural competition for the performing arts wing. Tasked with creating a beautiful mural to cover a dreary wall in the music wing, Nicole came up with a stunning design featuring various characters in the performing arts which is pictured below.
Art is something that Nicole is passionate about and pursues because she enjoys creating and because it makes her and others happy. She would also like to pursue a career that is heavily based on art, such as graphic design.
Nature and landscapes are a big inspiration to Nicole and this is shown throughout many of her pieces and is seen particularly in the piece with plants emerging from the house. The piece with the bears was drawn for Mother’s Day and represents Nicole’s mother and siblings.
Nicole also runs an Instagram account called @separatethings featuring her drawings and we would highly recommend going to support her work!
