Why We Know Literally Nothing
We began this as an article about what athletics day is and what the results were. Unfortunately as we ventured through the hellmouth called highschool, towards the sports office we found the most unfortunate news.
THEY DON'T KNOW THE RESULTS!!!!!
So instead, this will be an article about our journey to try and find the result for athletics day.
The Sun :(
Athletics day would have been great, if only we were not sitting in the squelching heat, staring straight at the burning sun. I mean seriously?! How hard is it to get a stadium with shade! I had to stare at a stadium enveloped with cool, dark shade for hours, never knowing when this big, red, ball of magma would leave us- …
But otherwise it was great!
Attempt #1 - Attempt Failed
Until a few days later when we went to our first UBIQUE meeting of term 2 when we decided to write about Athletics Day (it was supposed to be very good). But then we realised NO ONE KNOWS THE RESULTS!!! It was a sad day.
We Persevered
But we didn’t stop there! Even without the facts or statistics we are determined to tell you everything we can about Athletics Day. (And yes, we do know it was a while ago)

Blistering Heat Disguises What One May Consider A Fancy Stadium
So, this is the question: What’s up with this new stadium? As most of you know this year's stadium for Athletics day was different from ones from the past. We cannot deny, it was pretty fancy. But did the heat get the better of it? I’m sure you all know, many people don’t participate in Athletics day, and many people spend the day sitting up on the boiling stands. This then led to the race for the top! Literally.
If you were as smart as you thought you were, you would know that all the best seats were up the top of the stands, in that small spot of hope, shade. Up top was filled to the brim with students and teachers trying to get a small moment of shade. Unfortunately the teachers became strict about sitting in your sub-school, and most people were vanquished and sent back to their original area, forcing them to sit in the bright sun.
So who won? Green, Red or Blue?
The colors of triumph! The colors of victory! I’m sure you all saw the occasional ribbon being handed out, (congrats if that’s you). For those who placed one of their activities, they were given a ribbon. A majestic emerald green is awarded to 3rd place, a bright imperial red is awarded to 2nd place and finally 1st place is awarded the prestigious, royal blue!
