What's shaking with the UHS lockers?

by YUSUF BASER & SAGUFTA HAQUE

Hey UHS Fam! Remember our previous deep dive into the 700s construction? Well now, it’s time to unlock (pun intended) another chapter of our school’s transformation story. This time, we're spilling the beans about the locker situation based on the previous interview we conducted with the principal.

Ever feel like your locker’s playing a game of hide and seek without inviting you? One day, it’s in the 300s, the next it’s having lunch with you in the canteen, its a total surprise party!

For those who felt like their lockers suddenly decided to teleport from what is now the all-gender toilets space, into the canteen, hold onto your hats! The grapevine has it that post 700s construction completion, these lockers are getting prepped for another move! Can you believe it? Yep, as you may have guessed, straight into the refreshed 700s it goes. But hey, it’s all for a good cause, right? So just keep in mind, this canteen setup is just a short vacay.

Speaking of the canteen, once our lockers make their exit, there’s going to be so much more room than before! That is, if they don’t make any more temporary arrangements.

But here’s the plot twist: those lockers that took residence in the 300s. Turns out, they’re going to be staying there! So good luck trying to climb all those stairs in between classes. With the school experiencing “enrolment growth”, as mentioned by our principal, Ms Foster, there’s simply no better place for them to remain unfortunately. So it looks like the 300s get to keep their new guests.

All in all, lockers are on the move, just like our dynamic school. Thanks for bearing with the changes, UHS. As it seems, it’s definitely leading up to a more organized, spacious, and more streamlined haven for all.

That’s us addressing the locker issue. Slide into our inbox here, (https://forms.gle/C8N2Uj3SjHPEAoMV8) to ask any further questions that you would like to be answered. We’ll be sure to get back to you in the next issue of this series! We’re all ears! And remember, you can access our full interview with principal Ms Foster right here. Until next time though, keep those combinations close, and your school spirit closer!
