Book Week
By Esther Rinatta
This year’s Book Week at our school was an amazing celebration of our love for stories! It was great to see everyone come together, from dressing up as favorite characters to sharing book recommendations, showing just how much our community values the joy of reading.

In our honest, very humble, and not-at-all biased opinions, no one can do dress-up days like UniHigh. From culture week to Halloween, we know how to rock a special outfit. Term 3 has blessed us with the annual Book Week, and we must say, our school did NOT disappoint. There is nothing like expressing yourself through showcasing your favourite literary character with your friends at school.
This year brought the most creative costumes of them all, ranging from Heinz beans, a whimsy DIY project, to the Lorax, an absolute icon. Group costumes seemed to be all the rage this Book Week with the entire Super Mario crew gracing our halls. Special mentions to the gorgeous tradies who were completely prepared with their selection of props that thoroughly sold their stunning group costume, and the marvellous Alice in Wonderland gang.
The Library, being kind enough to host a costume runway at lunch for all to show off their incredible Book Week looks, was filled to the brim with a colourful sea of artistic characters which was DEFINITELY worth our while. Ms Costelloe, adorned in a stylish getup and a striking blonde wig, was nothing short of phenomenal as the MC of the event, never failing to entertain and impress with her quick and witty remarks that ensured the crowd's undivided attention.
Needless to say, Book Week ‘24 was an undeniable success and was certainly a great way to raise spirits and bring around some excitement in the dreariness of studying. We at UBQUE simply cannot wait to see what next year brings us!
