‘Too Many Stars’: Unihigh’s Kpop Club.

by Sofia and Jessie

Everyone at Uni High would have at least seen a glimpse of the club’s end of term performances. Showcasing the members through groups and solos, whether it comes to singing or dancing. Term 2 of this year was a very big term for the club, because they were going to showcase their dances at the school assembly.

We have interviewed a few delightful members, (Elisha, Mai and Taehee) about their experiences in this club.

“How long does it take you to learn a whole dance?”

Mai – “So basically, we spend our time at home learning the dance and at school time

during club, we practice as a group until the end of the term”

“How did you guys hear about the club?”

Elisha – “So I heard about the club on Compass when it first came out so I joined the

google classroom and told me to go on this specific day, for the first Kpop club meeting”

Mai – “For me, it was last year I think during term 4 when I actually witnessed the

performance happen and that's when I learnt there was a Kpop club and joined the next

day.”

Taehee – “My friends just told me about it cause they knew I love Kpop so, yeah I just

learnt it from there.”

“How do you guys choose the songs for your performances?”

Elisha — “So normally we pick songs out on which ones we like and choose from there.

And when the songs overlap each other like some people want to do this and some

people want to do that, we also split into different groups.”

“Do you guys care about the difficult of the dance?”

Taehee — “Alot! Hahaha”

Mai — “Yeah, thats how we learn :)”

Elisha — “At the same time, if you do a song thats really hard, you can also improve

through doing that which leads you to doing harder songs the next showcase.”

“What are your thoughts while performing?”

Everyone — “Don’t mess up. Also have fun :)”

“Last question: Who is your favorite kpop group?”

Elisha — “Enhypen.”

Mai — “Enhypen”

Taehee — “I like Ive”

Extra:

Mai — “I also like Stray Kids and Ateez and Itzy and every single group!”

Stream Exo, and the new Enhypen album that came out last week.”

Elisha — “Yes, and join kpop club-”

Mai — “AND STREAM ‘ATE’. is coming out on Friday, by Stray Kids”

Elisha — “And make sure to perform!”

Everyone — “Yayyyyyyy”

This is their most recent performance, the year 7s term 2 assembly:
