The (Fun) Graffiti of UHS

By Jasper S

To start we should clarify something: we do not condone real graffiti of any kind at UHS. But if we did, we’d like to say to at least be creative about it. No one cares about your street name or how much you hate the canteen guacamole (we love it). Now time to lay back and enjoy the graffiti of UHS in a chill little article just for you. Starting off on the second floor of ebs we have

a little creature here. A physics cat with some kind of affinity for physics. I feel like I’ve seen this before on the internet somewhere… something about boys..., but there's no time as we must keep moving. Next up is

Ancient graffiti. When I joined the school in year 7 I saw this board, and it is the same as it is now. It will always be there, watching, judging and watching the students of UHS. Its the monument to the doodles and ideas of the school Quad. Existentialism out of the way now its time for

Something you WON'T believe it says on the ceiling. In VCE, make sure to get a friend with this. Now this is good graffiti! Creative and messing with people its fun and easy to understand as a joke. Next we have

Sticky note graffiti? Yes please! As a wholesome reminder of the schools community we now (also in VCE) have a monument to a student gone, with others waiting for them to come back. Now we go back to Ebis for a

Mystery artist! Despite our best efforts we couldn’t find who made this little creature on the Ebis whiteboard. Very good art, too. If this is you, reach out! It’d make a killer article. Now we are onto something a lot more

… i don't even know anymore. Found in the classics room (263), this strange imitation of the infamous roblox smirk face haunts me. Why? We may never understand the villainous mind behind this. Moving on we now have some

Fire lines. At the base of the far 600s stairwell, next to the fire hose reel we have some poetry. “The bombs drop first” - “The aftermath is secondary”. Fire. Looking at the pen it seems quite old, but it’s message is still relevant. Now out in the quad we have

A community mural! With the helpful use of chalk and brick we have the thoughts of our students painted aloud for all to collaborate and work on. Of course there are a few rude drawings in there, and that ain’t cool. Now back in the far 600s stairwell, up the stairwell is

A bleeding poster. We also couldn’t get info on where what or why this is but this graffiti poster is both beautiful and interesting. A collared dog, angry at its bounds of the page? Either way, pretty sick. Finally we have

Some nice motivational messaging. Because good job! You made it to the end of this article. If you have any whiteboard graffiti or such from around the school that you’ve seen (DON'T MAKE IT YOURSELF, PLEASE WE DO NOT CONDONE THAT), hit us up in Ubique or our email!
