Let’s all just take a moment to admit it. Not a single soul would have ever foreseen such a world domination right outside their doorstep. Hidden in plain sight all along. None of us, except the allegiant clique, who have been riding the K-pop wave from the beginning, and proliferating over the years.
From catchy songs unerasable from your mind to dance moves you can’t help but join in with, Kpop has grown to more than just a musical trend - it's a worldwide sensation.
As witnessed in recent years, following the paramount step in the formation of Unihigh’s K-pop club, the K-pop fever had manifestly spread before our very eyes, avoidant of interruption. It was essential that the Ubique successors take initiative and investigate the depth of the spread within our school. We set out to interview students to gather a broad view of how Kpop is perceived within our school community. Our interviews covered everyone from dedicated fans, who live and breathe kpop, to those who have rarely listened to it. For some students, Kpop has become a major part of their lives, noticeably influencing their music preferences, and fashion choices. Even those less familiar with the genre remarked on the enthusiasm of its fanbase and its notable presence throughout our school.
